Pumpkin Patch
This weekend the family went to the pumpkin patch in Arcadia. We have had this field trip planned for 2 weeks. Shad and I kept telling our youngest Christopher that we were going to a pumpkin patch and on a hay ride since we planned the trip. I was a little worried because he didn't seem to excited. What am I saying? He could give a rats behind about it. LOL
Sunday morning we all got ready and packed everyone up in the car for the ride. We went with another family so off we went. As we drove past the pumpkin patch, Shad slowed down as I yelled "LOOK pumpkins"!! Well that was all it took, Christopher started talking 89 words a minute and his arms were all over the place. (He can't talk without his arms like his dad)
We parked the car and he was unbuckled and jumping out of the car before we could realize what he was doing. Well needless to say my little sweetie LOVED the pumpkin patch as well as my teen who won't admit it if you paid him. (teens *rolls eyes)
We got plenty of pictures to scrap book, so one of these weekends I will hide in my craft room and scrap my little heart away.. I can't wait.
This farm has some of the best apple cider I have ever had. I believe they press over 7 types of apples for their cider. Shad left our name and number to pick up the cider as it starts to ferment. He will be making hard cider from it.
I have also worked on some samplers this weekend. I'll post them soon.

The pumpkin patch looks like fun! My teenagers would never admit to having fun at a pumpkin patch! I was telling my sister-in-law who has the primitive home about your blog...I told her she should blog and she just rolled her eyes LOL. My family thinks I'm nuts! But you do have a beautiful blog. I can't wait to see your samplers!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. We grew our own this year...not much of a crop but enough to decorate with. Dianntha
